My Rabbit Bilbo
I got my rabbit Bilbo about 4 years ago. He is the only boy animal in the house, and is about the fluffiest animal I have ever seen. His coat is gray with a hint of blue. When he was small he could fit into my hands. The people that I got him from said that he is a purebred blue lion head rabbit, and even has papers for it. He used to love crawling out of the cage onto my shoulders like a little parrot. He loves jumping around his cage, and up onto the little ledge, until he stops and thumps his foot like Thumper from Bambi. When we walk past he is constantly begging for yogurt treats. He will look at you with his one eye and thump his foot as you walk past. When you open the cage he will do a lap in the cage then stop and crawl up waiting for the precious yogurt bite. Sometimes when you try to feed him he gets a little excited and he will nip your finger, but that usually only happens to my dad because he has big fingers. I am the only one that can pick him up safely, because when I try he goes limp and lets me put him in my arms. His fur is really soft to the touch and makes him look twice his actual size. When I call his name he will look over at me for a second then look back. He tends to drink a lot of water, and eat lots of food. I wish I could just let him hop around the house, but then he would poop and pee everywhere, which would not be good. Bilbo is so spoiled because its almost impossible to ignore him while walking past. We can even hear him thumping his foot in the other room, which makes us think that he needs something. Although I’m sure it is just a ploy to get more food or treats. Sometimes when I’m sitting on the couch I’ll look over to see him yawn. Let me tell you it is the cutest thing ever. He will yawn then stretch out his legs on his ledge. He just looks so comfortable laying there. He probably gets more comfortable than me in my own bed. Bilbo makes it so hard not to love him, and the rest of my family agrees.
