My Black Cat Momo

I got my cat Momo about 8 years ago, and since then I have bonded with her like no other animal I have had before. Having an animal is not a feeling you can replicate. Yes they are a part of your family, but it's a different type of family, and not just because they don't talk back. My cat Momo always follows by my side, and even when she is not, she comes running when I call her. When I come home from college she is always there waiting for me, and gives me a meowing greeting. She is constantly purring in my company, and sleeps in my bed even when I'm not there. She never makes it easy for me to get my work done, because she is either sitting on my book or my laptop begging for my attention. Her favorite spot to be pet is right underneath her neck, and when you scratch the place right above her tail she starts to lick you vigorously, which I abuse maybe too often. Even when I sit down at my desk she will always want to be sitting next to me. Her favorite thing to play with is either a hair tie or bottle cap. Although she also gets pretty crazy when we pull out the laser pointer. When her food bowl is empty she never hesitates to let us know, which normally ends up with her waking up my Mom, because she gives up on trying to get me to do it. It does not take much to take care of her, we just have to make sure her food and water bowls are full. We also have to clean out the kitty litter every once in a while, which takes about 5 minutes to do. She is a friendly cat around us but when people come over she tends to hide somewhere safe. Although she has gotten a lot better around certain people when they come to visit. When I start packing to go to college she sits in my suitcase as if  she doesn't want me to leave or she wants to go with me. Coming to college made me realize just how much I miss my family. I so very wish that I could take all of my family to college. Then again they thrive right where they are even if it is without me.
